About this game

What Chest Risk Picker is about

Chest Risk Picker is a short browser mini game where you open chests for points, bank what you have collected, or push your luck for one more reward. Some chests are traps that reset the current round to zero, so the real skill is choosing when to stop.

Each round contains twelve chests. Eight reward you with points, four are traps. After every safe open, the next click gets slightly riskier because fewer reward chests remain in the pool. Pressing Bank locks the round score into a banked total and shuffles a new board.

How to play

Step-by-step rules

Start a round

Twelve face-down chests appear. Round points start at zero.

Open a chest

Click any chest. A reward chest adds points to the round score. A trap chest zeroes the round and ends the round immediately.

Bank or keep opening

Press Bank to move the round score into the banked total. The banked total never resets, even when a trap is hit.

Start a new round

After a bank or a trap, press New round to shuffle the chests and start collecting again.

Tips

How to actually get better at Chest Picker

Bank when the next click is close to a coin flip

Roughly halfway through a round, the remaining reward-to-trap ratio drops to near 50/50. That is usually the right time to take what you have and start over.

Track round points separately from banked total

Round points evaporate on a trap. Banked points do not. Confusing the two is the most common reason a good run ends badly.

Push only with a clear reason

A leaderboard threshold or a single short session is a fine reason to push. Boredom is not. Stop when the math says stop, not when the run feels lucky.

Catch the King and many other reward events in Metin2 use a bank-or-risk pattern. Chest Risk Picker is a quick browser version that lets you practise the decision without spending in-game items.

FAQ

Common questions about Chest Risk Picker

How many chests are traps?

Four out of twelve chests are traps. The remaining eight reward different point values.

Does my banked score ever reset?

No. Once you press Bank, that score is locked in. Only the active round score is at risk.

Can I predict which chest is a trap?

No. The chests are shuffled randomly each round. The only signal you have is how many reward chests are likely still in the pool based on what you have already opened.

Is there a Metin2 themed version of this game?

Yes. The Metin2 Event Chest Planner uses the same risk model and adds Metin2 strategy notes. See the related links below.
